Ananda Lanta Resort - SHA Extra Plus

Big, spacious and bright room and perfect for a couple. Nice balcony, great for hanging stuff to dry, everything was clean in the room as well as in the bathroom. One free bottle of water every day, comfortable bed, good AC. Having a pool was great! The pool was clean, it has a deep and not so deep area, so it's good for swimmers and non-swimmers. We would have loved to stay longer than 2 days!

No breakfast option, no hooks on the walls to hang stuff. Wifi connection was semi-good, not the best. We had a gecko in the room and he was loud in the night making noises which woke us up but we didn't mind the gecko itself.

The pool is great and the room was very nice, as we were on top floor we had an exceptional view. The rooms are very clean and spacious. We loved the staff, especially Kin on the reception team, she was wonderful and made us feel so welcome! It's convenient location, right beside 7/11 and short walk to beach. There is jungle behind the resort which we loved as made us feel connected to the island and nature. We saw some monkeys and huge geckos and beautiful birds. It was a great stay overall and much better value than some of the more expensive places on the island.

It was a shame how little maintenance had been done, and we were there in high season. The toilets by the pool appeared not have been cleaned for a long time and there was a few piles of random stuff dumped in places around the grounds which could easily have been tidied away and more cleaning should be done of the shared spaces. I would still recommend the hotel, as I think the maintenance did not impact our enjoyment of the stay. Hopefully the owner has enough reviews say the same as me, so that they invest some money to repairs and upkeep. Then it would be even better!

Hotel is set back from the busy road. The room is decent & comfortable and literally huge. The pool is clean. Large balcony, definitely opt for sea view if available. The open character of the hotel means wildlife is abundant. Geckos, tokay, birds, prayingmantis, beetles, frogs galore. So if you are skittish, this place is not for you. Plenty of parking.

Outside of the room maintenance is nonexistent. There are some dirty areas with bags of trash, old furniture etc lying around the halls. There is almost no staff. No restaurant. But plenty on the main road.
