Cherry house - cosy house - ideal for bear watching, in the neighborhood of the medieval Snežnik castle

Nicely renovated, great kitchen with all the equipement, comfortable place to rest outside the house

The fact that the windows don’t have mosqiuito nets (we stayed there dureing a heath wave so it was impossible to sleep with windows closed - we had mosquito company all night..)

Immedietaly welcomed by our hosts and their lovely dog! Had a great conversation and learned a lot about Slovenia while our dogs played together. The house has everything you need and is priced very cheaply. 30min walk to Sneznik Castle if you take the detour via Smarata (highly recommended).

The whole house was really beautiful, clean and calm. Comfortable matress. Colors in the interior perfectly matched, looked exactly like in the pictures. Very kind host. Parking in front of the door. Just be careful at the stairs to the first floor, they are very steep. From the living room you have direct access to the terrace. Near the house there are many sights as Sneznik castle, Krizna caves and Cerknica lake.

Everything was perfect.

Wow! This beautiful old house is refurbished with attention to intricate details. It's got a well-equipped kitchen, a cozy living area featuring a vintage wood-burning stove, and a charming terrace. Additionally, it offers a shower, two toilets, and two bedrooms adorned in a quaint, nostalgic fashion. The accommodation was perfect for me, my boyfriend, and our furry friend. :) The location is surrounded by breathtaking nature - we've never encountered a place quite like this. Just a short 10-minute stroll away, you'll find the magnificent Sneznik Castle, and there are other splendid Slovenian treasures nearby as well. Our host, Natasa, was incredibly attentive, and generous, and made us feel very welcome. She even treated us to freshly brewed coffee and allowed us to harvest vegetables from her garden. A truly wonderful experience, and we cannot wait to return one day!

What we didn't like? That we only stayed for one night! Hehe!

We really enjoyed our stay at cherry house. It was a lovely cozy and clean home with some interesting antique items. Walking distance to beautiful Snežnik castle and quick driving distance to lake Cerknica. They also have a beautiful dog next door and some friendly cats.

Just a note: the stairs can be difficult for elderly people. However they do add character to the house.
