ONE DOUBLE ROOM AND ONE SPACIOUS ATTIC ROOM IN SHARED HOUSE, FREE WIFI, FREE PARKING, AMAZING view

The house is big and has a spectacular view. The location also was very good. The hosts were friendly. They even offered dinner for us, which was very kind of them, but after a long trail in the Peak District, me and my husband always ended up eating on our way back to the host house.

Unfortunately, my husband and I did not have a comfortable stay. The mattress was too soft. We could barely move in the bed. Otherwise, we would disturb our sleeping time. There are no windows in the room, only the main entrance door, and behind the curtains, there is a glass door that connects the room with the living room. We stayed for 5 nights in the summer season. The two nights were a bit warm, so there was a lack of ventilation. The main issue we faced was the noise. This room is surrounded by a living room, toilet, and kitchen. The doors are very noisy And also this is a family house. They have their daily routine. The TV was constantly on til late at night, like after 11 pm. As the living room door is connected to our room, all the TV sound and brightness go through (see the picture of how bright the room is with the TV on late at night). We could hear the little child running and screaming by the corridor area and in front of our room very often after 9 pm. We woke up every day at about 05:40 am to go to the National Park to do the circular hiking trails and after a long day hiking, we just wanted to have a shower and a nice rest. I believe the upstairs room would be better, as the noise would be minimized, and according to the reviews, the bed is comfortable. If you don't get bothered with soft mattress and noisy surrounding, this room will be OK for you.

Warm friendly welcome, lovely people. Bicycle storage available. The view from the balcony was excellent. Bed and pillows was comfy. The room was clean and tidy. The bathroom was clean.

No T.v. in the room. Had to share bathroom though it was stated as a private bathroom. It's more air BnB as staying in someone's house with them there.

Straightforward parking on the road in front of the house. A quiet location due to its being on a cul-de-sac, flexible check-in and a friendly reception; after leaving my shoes in the porch, I was made to feel very welcome in their family household. My short stay was in the attic room which was well-equipped, complete with a comfortable double bed, free-standing bath, toilet and wash basin. A towel was provided as were various items such as toothbrushes and toothpaste (which I didn't need but had I done so they were available for use). Whilst there were no terrestrial or satellite channels, the TV did offer internet/on-demand options. The terrace was a pleasant place to sit in the morning for a bite to eat before an uncomplicated checkout. I had originally intended staying in a hotel but this was a better and friendlier place to be. It will be the first place I'll check for availability when I need to visit Chesterfield again.

Great location, free parking outside the property, guests are able to use the terrace which provides truly breathtaking view of the area. House itself, room and shared bathroom are exceptionally clean and tidy. Host friendly and welcoming
