"Beautiful villa with an excellent host"

The villa is very beautiful. The host, lovely Marina, could not have done more for us during our stay. She was very attentive and kind. She is genuinely the nicest host we have ever met. The weather was perfect for our September holiday and we were able to swim in both the sea and pool. The old town of Rethymno is lovely with excellent shops and restaurants. I am vegetarian and there was plenty of choice. The villa is not in walking distance of the old town and a car is necessary.

The villa is wonderful, the hostess was great, she took care of all our needs and she was extremely helpful with her suggestions what places and restaurants to visit, including what beaches. The hostess kept the villa spotless, including the beautiful pool.
The driving there was a bit challenging, steep and narrow streets, with sharp turns. But, first, I am not very experienced driver, second, I am almost 70 years old, and third, Crete is a mountainous island and all small towns have similar driving conditions.
