"Enjoyable 2 night stay. Lady owner very helpful"

The location. Right on the river

A bit outdated. Very cluttered. Could have been a bit cleaner. Owners only had for 6 months. Lot of upgrading needing to be done. Property has a lot of potential

"Made for a lovely relaxed weekend."

9.0

Breakfast was excellent. The atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant. Obviously patronised by locals as well as guests from elsewhere. New owners are working hard to make the pub part of the community.

It suited us perfectly.

"Very unpleasant, we do not recommend it."

1.0

The location.

On arrival we had to wait a good while until the owner appeared. We saw no other staff. On our route to the room we were asked for our breakfast order and asked what time we would like to eat it! The room appeared grubby with old bedding and lumpy flat pillows. The room was below basic. Although we had checked in for two nights we left the following morning. We couldn’t find anyone to hand the keys to so had to leave them on the bar!!

"An absolute delight"

10.0

The Ken Bridge is a very well maintained old Georgian house, full of all its charm. I stayed in bedroom 1 which was a kingsize room with a fully functional en-suite bathrooms. The bed was very comfortable and I loved the warm tartan bedding. I was a solo traveler and using the time to get ahead on some work, the WiFi was great and the room had a desk so I was able to set up and work just as efficiently as being in the office. The lady of the house, Tatiana is absolutely wonderful, shes so friendly and efficient I felt really looked after. My booking included breakfast and I also ate two evening meals at the hotel, all of which was great. Their full Scottish breakfast is a must to start the day. I visit Dalry and Castle Douglas regularly throughout the year so I will definitely book with The Ken Bridge again.

Nothing, I loved everything.
