They offered at the time to clean it but that would need a thorough deep clean not just a quick clean down. 1. Beware of this company as is any problems with the property they will not refund you and ignore you.

In the interests of giving a fair and balanced review, I must say that the apartment was very spacious and well equipped. The bathrooms were quite nice with good plumbing. If this apartment was thoroughly cleaned and redecorated and had a comfortable sofa and new mattress, and all the broken things fixed, and nice lighting, and a host who cares about giving a good service, it would indeed be a luxurious place to stay.

We were originally booked into Flat 4, and we arrived to find that there was no key in the lock box. The door was open, so we went inside to find that it was being lived in by a group of workmen. I phoned the host's emergency number, which was answered by a recorded message telling me to send a message via WhatsApp. We sent a message, which the host never answered. After some time waiting, we sent a message via booking.com, and eventually the host replied with a code for the lock box to Flat 2. Altogether it was almost two hours after our arrival when we eventually gained access to a flat which we had not booked. So, as well as the appalling behaviour of the host, my review here is for Flat 2: The flat was poorly cleaned - the crockery and cutlery were covered in streaks of white residue and bits of food - I had to wash everything that we used before using it. Windows were filthy, with dead insects and grit on the window sills. Fluffballs and hair on the floor. Lighting in every room was dim miserable grey. Kitchen mixer tap was not fixed in place, so it had to be held firm while turning taps on and off. Bathroom door handle was broken right off - screws ripped out on both sides. Shower holder over the bath was unable to hold the shower in position, making the shower unusable. Sofa was very uncomfortable. Foam mattress on the double bed was a bit saggy. Heater in the lounge constantly made a loud squeaking sound. The shared access stairway from the main door of the building was rather dirty and messy. On our second day, my husband found two people outside who said they had booked into Flat 2 via AirBnB and there was no key in the lockbox. My husband explained that we were in Flat 2. They managed to speak to someone on the phone, who told them that they had been moved to Flat 4, and there was no key because the lock was broken. We paid about £520 for three nights of what was promised to be luxury, and I spent our trip feeling that we had been scammed.
