The Cottage, a perfect getaway!

Very quiet location yet walkable to the park and sea front. Good parking availability on the drive. Well appointed kitchen and bathroom.

Would have benefitted from a Visitor's Handbook to consult on arrival. And very minor - a hairdryer would have been helpful.

The property itself was ideal for us in terms of size and location. Only a 10 min walk to the pier. The garden was just what we needed as we had a dog with us and needed an enclosed garden. The shower was great too.

There were a few things that niggled at us during our stay and I hate writing complaints. We stayed 2 nights and the beds were incredibly uncomfortable. We got the glasses, mugs and pans out in the morning to make breakfast and everything needed washing. Glasses & mugs were covered in a layer of dust and the pans were slimey like they hadn’t been washed properly from their last use. There was also a light fitting in the living room that was dangerous. It had wires hanging out of it as there was no fitting on it. I wouldn’t have thought anything of it but my husband is an electrician and he said that on an inspection, it would be deemed as a danger to life so we didn’t use the lights in the living room for this reason. When you walked in to the property it smelt damp and we then discovered a damp patch above the kitchen window which would explain it. The bathroom door didn’t shut unless it was locked. The windows were dirty. The garden could have done with weeding. We simply felt like the entire property could’ve done with a good clean and a bit of a spruce up.

The house was great for our family trip with ages ranging from 90 to 3. Great location, well equipped kitchen and comfy beds.

House was lovely, but felt the front and back garden just needed a bit of love.

We Was disappointed that there was no welcome pack of essentials, But shops nearby Not essential but would have been a nice touch

Owners very friendly and helpful and solved a problem we had very quickly. Very good location, easy walk into town centre.

No where in bathroom to put clothes when showering ie hook on door would help. Lack of litter bins in rooms (only one in whole property) poor lock on bathroom door. Very little storage room in kitchen. Nowhere to hang washing outside. Curtains in lounge don't meet in middle, and these are only curtain linings not proper curtains.

Modern, cosy cottage, really comfy beds. Great for a family stay with children.

Garden was average but fine for the dog to have some outdoor space. Could have done with shower gel/shampoo etc and washing detergent but otherwise great facilities.
