Amalfi Coast, Positano, Sorrento, Capri, Garden, Villa Carcara

So, this beautiful, rural location is right up in the hills above Sorrento, in a small village called Colli del Fontanelle. From the garden there are views of both the Bay of Naples (above Sorrento) and down the Amalfi coast towards Positano!!! Just incredible. The house itself is the ground level apartment of a 3 story family house. It is tiled throughout and very cool away from the heat outside. The kitchen is joined with the open plan lounge and is huge and well equipped. There is a lovely traditional pizza oven which I believe the host family must use when they have gatherings! There is also a woodburning stove in the lounge but we did not use either! It had 1 big bedroom with a useful dresser and big mirror (for my wife) , comfy dbl bed and a fold down bed which our youngest son (14) used. Our eldest (16) slept on the fold down sofa bed in the lounge and was very comfy. We had a hire car, which I would say is very useful if staying here, but there is also a bus stop only a few mins walk down the hill in the centre of ther villager. The village centre is very cute and traditional, with a bar, a few restaurants and a shop selling essentials. We dined at the Panoramic Pizza restaurant like 1 minute walk away and the food there was delicious and also very affordable (8 euros for a carafe of house red!).

Maybe , and this is not a biggey...some coffee in the coffee jar to use in one of the many espresso pots provided!

The host was pleasant, good communication, recommended great trips. Quiet location, nice garden. Parking on the road is chalenge.

The hot water flowed only in a very small stream, which was very unpleasant. The next day it was impossible to shower at all.

Jardin, taille de l'appartement

pas de couteau de cuisine, pour couper pains, legumes, viandes. Ben, le parking etait vraiment a cote de la route. Des fois beaucoup de traffic et un peu dangereux de traverser la route.

La struttura si trovava su una strada statale senza parcheggi, siamo stati obbligati a parcheggiare sulla strada rischiando di rovinare la macchina o una possibile multa
