Upendo House - Rafiki Tamu

Extremely nice apartments and apartment area with swimming pool! The layout and design was beautiful and comfortable. Apartment was clean and spacious. The pool and sunbed area was super nice and clean, with an outdoor shower. A real highlight of the stay was the chef service, with our amazing chefs Jackline and Charol making wonderful food!! They were so nice and their company really heightened our experience during our stay. All in all we were very happy with the apartment.

There was an issue with the fridge from the beginning, which caused a lot of the food we had bought to go bad as it was not properly cold. The owners replaced the fridge, which was great, but due to the short duration of our stay, this was a bit of a bother. Especially since we had a family member with an egg allergy and there were no egg free alternatives for breakfast, and the reception was hesitant to offer anything else, so it would have been convenient to have a working fridge so we could have provided more breakfast options ourselves. We also had problems with the electricity, with full outages our two last nights, which no one can control, but it made the fridge warm again, and obviously the AC didn't work. Before the outages, the AC in one of the bedrooms would also turn on and off incessantly during the night, waking us up with the beep, I think also due to unstable electricity, although the other bedroom didn't have this problem.

Amazing resort with professional staff and great location. Alessandro is vey helpful and a great host.We really enjoyed our stay there.

The long swimming pool, the proximity to the various beaches with white sand and the islands in front, proximity to Papa Remo and to the new little shopping mall, our Italian neighbors, the friendly staff, the breakfast... Watamu in general.

We liked everything, except the crows, that come and steal your breakfast from the table if nobody is watching. But it's a very common problem on the Kenyan coast.

Gorgeous and comfortable apartment with a nice swilling pool. Restaurants and the beach are close but the resort itself is relaxed and calm. The staff is really amazing and is ready to help at any time and it's possible to hire a chef with excellent cooking skills if you want to enjoy a meal at your own apartment. The communication with the owner was also very good.

The two-bedroom villa is just amazing. The views, amenities, staff, room service, the boss. Everything was top notch and I would totally recommend it for any stay.

Nothing to not like about Nadia & Ale

A fairytale day! Upon arrival we were greeted by smiling staff who escorted us to our second floor apartment. Here we found ourselves on a huge balcony, where we then dined with a view of the pool and the starry sky. The apartment was perfect: clean and with a nice flower arrangement on the bed to welcome us. The location is fantastic: just cross the road to get to one of the most beautiful beaches in Watamu and in less than 5 minutes by motorbike or 15 on foot from the city center. In the staff there was even a cook, that based on our choice, made us a typical and cheap local dinner. To end our night we had a swim in the pool looking at the stars...a very special moment. We can only recommend Nadia & Ale house to everyone to be spoiled in a fabulous location.
