Howick Greendale 4 Self Catering Units Solar & Battery Back-Up

The queen room has its own verandah which gives one more space. Our car was parked off road and behind an electric gate.

The hosts were extremely friendly and the gardens were simply beautiful (added bonus was my 5-year-old getting to pick fresh veg from their vegetable garden!). The unit is lovely and spacious. We had everything we needed in the unit. It was secure and well located in Howick. The instructions for arrival and departure over WhatsApp were lovely, clear and creative.

There isn't a lot of privacy between the children's room and the main bedroom (no doors that can close) which was fine in my case but may be a factor for others to consider.

Enclosed garden allowed our 2 dogs to run freely and unwind their stress

Unit was lovely and clean. Room cleverly divided to accommodate couple and kids with privacy. Kitchen well equipped and with back up battery didn't notice any loadshedding.

Unit was great, stairs quite steep, might be an issue for older travellers

Everything! The accommodation I had originally booked was an 'economy' room, however, the proprietor very kindly upgraded me, at NO extra cost, to a really comfortable, nicely appointed, larger room which just happened to be available for the duration of my stay. There was meticulous attention to detail, and everything was spotlessly clean and tidy. I forgot to have a look at the 'economy' room before I left so cannot, in all honesty, give it full marks for 'Value for Money' as I didn't personally see it. Close to town in a quiet suburban street and efficiently run by a thoughtful, caring proprietor whose first concern is the guest.
