Drifters Cafe, Bar & Inn by The Hidden Tribe

Located on the main road in Old Manali, it is close by to several cafes and restaurants though you may hear traffic noises from your room at busy times. At night it is quiet. Hostel has some great space to chill in, including tables and chairs on all floors and the top floor has a free-to-use pool table and board games. Though we didn't take advantage, there is room service available. The room itself was big enough for two people with a wardrobe and bedside tables. Hot water worked well (just turn on the switch 10 mins prior), bed was comfy, enjoyed our stay.

A little pricey but we wanted to avoid any scammy vibes. Rest assured, this place is legit.

Drifter’s Inn was the perfect mountain escape. The views are absolutely stunning, especially from the rooftop common area where you can relax, enjoy the scenery, or play pool. The atmosphere is super chill and welcoming. Varun, the owner, is an incredible host — friendly, helpful, and always around to make sure guests are comfortable. The staff were also great, always kind and attentive. Felt more like staying with friends than at a hotel.

Had a great stay at Drifters. It’s far enough away from Mall Road so it’s relaxing and has good local character. Our room was clean and huge, had the best shower in India, a fabulous view of the mountains, really helpful staff and great food. Thoroughly recommended!
