Casa Mocenigo - Lido di Venezia

Authentisch eingerichtete Wohnung in super Lage auf dem Lido. Geschäfte, Bars, Restaurant, Eis, Supermarkt, Strand, Vaporettostation u.v.m in direkter Nähe. Trotzdem ruhige Atmosphäre im Wohnviertel. Wir haben uns zu Dritt sehr wohl gefühlt trotz einiger kleiner Altersschwächen der Wohnung. Check In lief unkompliziert inkl. Anreisetipps.

Ein paar Dinge vom Inventar müssten mal erneuert bzw modernisiert werden (Gartenmöbel, Gläser, Herd...).

Die kleine Maisonette-Wohnung ist eigentlich sehr schön, hochwertig konzipiert und liegt zentral. Zwar ist sie bei weitem nicht so hell und großzügig, wie die Fotos auf der Seite vermuten lassen, aber das ist ja meistens so.

Bedauerlich ist allerdings der vernachlässigte Zustand. Die Schimmelspuren in der Dusche im 1. Stock halten die Verwalter der Wohnung nicht für gesundheitsgefährdend, das Bad sei eben 30 Jahre alt. Der Esstisch im kleinen Garten wackelt und eines der Bretter ist gebrochen, wie auch bei einem der Stühle in der Rückenlehne. Der Anzündmechanismus des Gasherdes ist kaputt, anstelle des Knopfes ist ein Loch. Der Kühlschrank ist veraltet mit gelben Gebrauchsspuren. Es gab nur ein Abtrockenhandtuch, das war schmutzig. Das Geschirr ist unsortiert in verschiedene Schränke eingeräumt, beim Öffnen der Schranktür unter der Treppe mussten wir Spinnweben entfernen usw usw. Deshalb haben wir auf Kochen und Essen und unnötigen Aufenthalt in der Wohnung verzichtet, was für uns eine erhebliche Beeinträchtigung bedeutet hat.

It is cozy, well furnished and good location so close to stores, restaurants and the vaporetto.

The beds only had sheets and the blankets in the wardrobe were smelly and messy, a real turn off. They only had one key for the front door and said could not give a second so it was very inconvenient as we were two people on different work timetables.

Die Lage der Wohnung ist optimal: sehr ruhig, kurze Distanzen zum Strand, zu den Geschäften, zum Supermercato, zu der Station Lido S.M.E. (Vaporetto) und der Bus-Station.

Die Wohnung ist "in die Jahre gekommen".

On the plus side: great central location, bedrooms are upstairs, separate from the living room/kitchen, there is a new laundry machine, a speedy WLAN, ceiling fans, AC, two bathrooms, responsive and pleasant contact with the manager (not owner).

This could be a very nice apartment if the owner invested a little to fix up dozens of minor nuisances, e.g.: no fly screens in any window, some lights defect, shower has low pressure, gas stove without safety valves or gas/CO detector, no dish washer, large pot and pot lids missing, upper bunk bed not usable (“dangerous”), sofa bed in living room not expandable, old cable-TV, etc. The place is filled with useless decor and leftovers from previous visitors or the owner, the kitchen with random (in part dirty or filthy) accessories. The garden furniture is old and some is broken and dirty, the small dark garden was full of mosquitos.

Although we arrived earlier, the host was kind enough to come and accommodate us right away. We really appreciated that. In the house we had all the confort we needed. We felt like home. Every evening we had dinner in the garden. To sum it up, it was the perfect location for a dream vacation!

The only annoying thing was not on the property itself. In the nearby building, hosting a café with sporting bets, there is a big air conditioning unit facing the location, which made a loud noise, resembling a plane engine, during the functioning hours of the café.

Location. Lido is a wonderful location for visiting venice. Only a short ferry trip to historic Venice, but with more modern buildings+ less tourists, especially day tourists. It was wonderful to escape the hectic crowds of downtown at will.The water on the beaches on the outside of the lagoon was surprisingly clear. We swam every day. The property was quite close (around 6-8 minute walk) to the ferry terninal. the city center and grocery.There were several uncrowded restaurants nearby. Having the bedrooms upstairs and the kitchen+living room downstairs worked well. For housing a family group of four people the value for money was very good at this nice location.

The rooms, especially upstairs were quite small. The bathrooms and the kitchen were a bit worn out. A dishwasher would have been nice. There were some old stains on the settees downstairs. There was a small garden backyard, which could have been wonderful for having breakfast + dinner outside. Unfortunately the backyard was also used for storage of cleaning and household equipment, some of them untidy/obsolete. Also the garden furniture was old and partially broken. With a closet for stored items+new furniture and tiling, this space would be greatly improved

Great location and classic Italian style, so much more authentic that staying in a big hotel. Comfortable and we were able to cook happily in the kitchen which was nice. No issues with communication.

Furniture & soft furnishings would benefit from some updates to take this place to the next level.

Two floors: Early birds can come downstairs (with own bathroom) for coffee etc. without disturbing sleepyheads. Compact upper floor and more spacey first floor with kitchen & sofa + terrace. Optimal neighbourhood: bars, cafes, restaurants around the corner but home street was quiet. Close to traghetto & grocery.
