The Hideaway @ Flagham Cottage.

Lovely location and view and ease to go around the lakes and it’s facilities. Great for birdwatching and just gazing. Smart, Well laid out and roomy and easy to find things. Spacious bed. And very comfortable (tho one of us not great with feathers re allergies). Light airy. Great kitchen. Nice to have basic cereal foods there and fresh milk eggs bread and spread jam waiting.lovely idea. Friendly owner.

Would like the ability to alter the heating as central heating very hot, too hot for both of us.and both too hot all night. Tho the bed was very comfortable. Brighter lamps to read by would be nice. Not sure if owners aware but dogs bark and howl constantly as missing their human, when they go out. Main tv didn t work as appeared to be a missing cable. As no mobile signal only Wi-Fi..more ..how to find pubs etc ie directions /miles would be good, in case wi fi wasn t working (it was temporarily off when we were there)

Fabulous apartment, very well preserved , on the lake

The location is unbeatable as the house sits nicely near a large lake with amazing wildlife. The night is as quite as it gets. So serene and comfortable. The house is fully equipped with best appliances and is very well maintained. Above all, the hosts are very friendly and hospitable.

The link between the holiday home and main house could do with better sound insulation.

Far from the city

The property was gorgeous. Really well appointed and modern, very clean and up to date. The facilities were excellent. The complementary breakfast was a lovely touch. The area around The Hideaway were beautiful. Really spectacular views etc. There were some beautiful walks around the property. Unfortunately, it was raining so we didn’t venture out too far but it was okay as we were happy to stay ‘at home’ because it was just so lovely and comfortable. And our host who lived in the adjoining property was lovely.

The advert suggested that the location of the property was secluded and set alone but it actually adjoined the main house the bedroom window runs along side their porch so you had to have the curtains closed at all times. You could also see into their living area when sitting on the terrace, and they into yours. So wasn’t as private as advertised. Having said that it wasn’t a problem as they weren’t in for a lot of the weekend. But just be aware if you’re looking for something a little more secluded and private.
