The Guest House near Hay on Wye

The location is gorgeous but it really is in the middle of nowhere. The house is small but nice. Some of the furniture is dated but the bedrooms are nicely decorated and comfy. Nice bathroom too,

We didn't love that there isn't a living room area, somewhere to sit and relax. We ended up chilling in one of the bedrooms watching TV, but yeah that's the main thing the property is missing.

Could not find a microwave oven.

In a beautiful location. Extremely quiet. Owner recommended the yew tree for food which was good and less than 2 miles away.

The location was great - quiet, lovely views of countryside. The electric blankets on the bed were a lovely surprise on a chilly February night! Beds were comfy

There were a few cobwebs/dust.

Kitchen room very basic No dogs upstairs??? Poorly equipped e.g. only one bedside lamp

The bedrooms were lovely and cosy.

The kitchen was cold and the heating or fridge was not on when we arrived.

Bedrooms were extremely comfortable and attractive. Convenient location with lovely views from the windows. We were grateful for the accommodation that had been prepared for our dogs.

The property felt a bit unprepared for guests; the heating was switched off, remote controls needed new batteries. There was no information in the apartment about how to get hesting/ hot water or any more general issues like waste management .
