Wonderful host. Beautiful place. Very comfortable.

The grounds were nice. It was clean. The beds were comfortable. The parking was good.

The accommodations and the policies on booking.com were not consistent with the polices of the host. I spoke with the hosts 2 weeks prior to my stay to inform them of my error of 5 persons instead of 6. I was informed of the $25 charge for a simple mistake that could have been simply corrected. Additionally, I told the host that we were visiting for the rodeo, and I was never told that checkin was between 4-6 and any time after was considered after hours and generated a charge. When I arrived, I was immediately pulled away from my friends because I was the one who booked. I felt like a child going to the principals office. I was informed that the late charge of $ 25 per hour, per room, would be charged. We booked 3 rooms. I was told the second hour would be waived even though we arrived 11 minutes into the second hour. Surprisingly, we learned breakfast was not included for the people staying in the apartment. Additionally, the bed in the apartment was full size and not a queen, as stated on booking.com and by the host. One of the rooms should have had a king bed, but it was a queen. Each room should sleep 2 people, and the accommodations are better suited for couples instead of a girls' trip. Once we arrived at the apt, we called for the wifi code. The wifi was extremely slow. They never took us to the room or checked to see if we were satisfied. It was sooooo cold, we contacted the host to adjust the temperature because there was a lock box on the thermostat. The hosts said, "These requests are after hour services. See our terms-and-conditions, and let us know how you wish to proceed. Thank you." We didn't feel welcomed, and it seemed to be a lot of miscommunication. The rules were stringent and inflexible. We had no idea that there was an advance notice for breakfast foods. The hosts never said anything about food when I spoke to her on the phone. UPDATE RETALIATION:The host is retaliating for a poor review.

The location and the decor.

Kitchen sink and bathroom sink dirty(hair in bathroom sink) No cleanser, dish soap or extra towels, also no dish cloths or dish towels. No shower curtian liner, shower floor mat dirty, old soap in shower. We found a towel in basket on floor in bedroom and it was stained. Should not be considered a B&B since apartment didn't get breakfast. Also needs a hand rail on stairs and stairs are loose.

Beautiful house, easy parking, friendly and helpful hosts, huge king room, very comfortable bed with fluffy pillows and delicious breakfast!

We enjoyed a fabulous authentic Creole style breakfast of the most delectable biscuit smothered in rich, creamy creole sauce and smoked sausage along with perfectly cooked eggs and the creamiest stone ground cheese grits. Our host and hostess were so very gracious and welcoming! The home is spotless and the bed was so very comfortable. Wish we could have stayed longer and enjoyed a walk to nearby Swan Lake. Next time!

Breakfast (and hosts) were the best features of the stay.

This is an old house and the doors & fittings need updating. There was no shower (or TV) in our room. The major problem was that the description and reviews on Booking did not indicate that our original room (an out building) did not offer breakfast and was not shown on the website! Fortunately, we were able to move to the main building and get the marvelous breakfasts. Also, the address we were given by Booking does not exist - presumably it's the address of the out building!
