Dalesgate Hotel - Self Check In

It was convenient to where we were going.

Clean and tidy.

Near a nice pub with good food and friendly staff

Some construction being done and had to ask for the radiator heating to be turned on every day.

Very cosy, warm room with a decent shower, comfy bed and generous tea and coffee making supplies. Breakfast was great, staff really friendly and the self-check-in service very efficient. Location is good too with bus stops just outside and Keighley about a 30-minute walk away.

The decor is rather dated though that didn't matter too much to me.

Nothing at all

The shower, toilet & sink was very clean and had a good mirror above the sink. The skirting boards were very dirty which was a shame. The breakfast was lovely with lovely choices of cereals, fruit, yogurt, fruit juice, tea & coffee, selection of toast that you do yourself which was good, and a lovely breakfast which was hot & filling. 10/10 for breakfast but 2/10 for terrible mattress!

Although the bedroom was small, it was big enough with side units to both sides of the bed which looked new, with 1 wicker chair to sit down. There was sufficient space to hang clothes etc. BUT although the double bed looked nice with clean bedding etc, I had a dreadful night sleep.The bed felt like a bouncy castle if you turnover, it was so bad that if you sat on the edge of the mattress it moved down to the board underneath. Please try it yourself overnight as it really was dreadful which affected me the following day. I had problems with my neck and pain in my back from the lack of any support from the mattress.
