"Southwold is great. The property needs attention.."

4.0

Nice beds, close to the sea.

We had been pre-warned by some of the reviews that cleanliness and it still wasn’t good however expected it to be better than what it actually was for the price feel like asking for refund The actual cooker was thick with grease burn on grease stains all down the glass. The grill pan was filthy we decided therefore not to be in the property due to the state there were stains running down the washing machine as well as thick dust around the television on top of furniture dead flies and flaking paint on the windows and cobwebs which were grey so Cleary had been there for a little while. The single bed had hair in it, which is not something that you expect for clean bedlinen. There is an added bonus however due to people parking at a weird angle in another property opposite it meant difficulty in getting the car in and out even with fall 360 parking sensors four or five attempts at shunting around to actually get out. A lot of the window frames and door frames are rotten and I’ve had pieces of wood which appeared just to have been stuck in to the frame not by a carpenter or a professional.. Wi-Fi which I needed to work from was very hit and miss kept going down the smart TV therefore wouldn’t work. I ended up reaching the TV as it only had two stations on re-tuning had 73 stations..

"Great Place to Stay"

9.0

Excellent location- right by town short walk to beach, 15mins to harbour.. Opposite common - great to walk or sit with a drink and watch the sunset. Parking space - would be difficult to park otherwise. Very much home from home type of place. Very comfy beds and lovely linen. Downstairs loo - great for my elderly mum.

The only thing is the price - £1300 for one week is extortionate! But I guess that's Southwold for you. If you're tall upstairs maybe a bit short for you!

"Very good"

Brilliant location for exploring Southwold, easy to collect keys, kitchen was well stocked in terms of utensils/ crockery etc

parking was tight as other 2 cottages had poorly parked leaving less than the allocated space for our car
