Moonrise Dome - La Bruyere farm

Loved the location and everything about the design and layout of the cottage. So unusual!

It was all 100%.

Such a gorgeous space. Beautiful views over the valley, sunrise and sunset. It was so special, we had the best night.

The only very minor thing, is the dome windows fog up because it is plastic so you can’t see the sunrise over the valley which is tragic, considering how exceptional the view is. We just took the duvet down to the day bed and the watched it from there.

I rarely write reviews but this place deserves 10 minutes of my time. Firsly, the host, Chris, was really nice and approachable and did everything possible to make our stay as comfortable and memorable as possible. We found the place clean and ready for us. You are literally surrounded by nature, no soul in sight and the accomodation is way more beautiful than the pictures show. The bed was very comfortable and waking up to that view from the dome is nothing l have ever experienced. The shower had nice hot water although l prefer bathing outside in the provided outdoor which had very hot water. The view from that tub is indescribable. We had dinner at the lake under lamps and candles, lamps and candles we got from the property. There were even binoculars for use, enough fans and the kitchen has all you need for a stay. There's a gas barbecue stove and gas was even provided for us. We had ribs done on the stove, so so good. There is a bigger lake that Chris let us use. It felt like we had the entire farm to ourselves due to its sheer size. There's absolutely nothing that was a negative here. We had a saloon car but you will probably be better off with a SUV although we did just fine. If you want a place where you want to relax and leave all the stresses behind this is the perfect place.

Beautiful Location and really a special break in Tulbach. The setting of the house was amazing.

The road leading up to the cottage was not in good condition and actually caused some damage to the rental car. The middle mannetjie needs to be trimmed as its thicker than grass

We had rough winds at night. The wind was quite loud against the dome material which made it tough to sleep.
