The apartment was clean and tidy.

On checking-in, I was requested to pay a R1000 deposit, that was only refunded more than a week later. The documentation received on arrival was outdated, the stove wasn't even connected. The lounge furniture was terrible, the couch was a foam sleeper bed, if you sat on it you sank to within 4 inches of the floor, the lounge chairs were so rickity I didn't even attempt to sit on them. I made a request for the beds to be set up for a couple, they took two single beds and pushed them together, with single bed linen. The shower was an open shower and wet the whole bathroom floor.

The couch it kept falling it was so uncomfortable

only one of several places visited that required a damage deposit! i would have expected the host to inspect the property with me on arrival and again on departure to make this a valid excersise.
