We two girls went to the beach bar at night and took a grab back. The grab driver wanted to extort about 250 USD from us for cleaning fees and threatened us at the door of this hostel. We ran back to the room, but for some reason the reception guy opened the door to the blackmailer, causing him to hold us hostage at the door of our room for nearly 2 hours until our friends came to rescue us. During this period, the owner of the hostel kept persuading us to give him money and help the blackmailer, thinking that we had dirty his car, but we did nothing. If there was sand brought from the beach, we would also be willing to pay a reasonable cleaning fee, but this was extortion and robbery. Instead of protecting the safety of customers, this hostel stand with the blackmailer. After our friends rescued us and left, the owner also refused to refund the remaining two days' fees. For the life safety and property, everyone should choose this hostel with caution.
