Pond Memories - National Parks Suite - Paddling Included!

Serine location on the lake. Excellent hospitality from George and Leslie, who went above and beyond in hosting us. Loved Leslie's treats. Enjoyed chatting around the fire pit.

The place is absolutely beautiful. Quiet, pretty, near a lake, perfect for some relaxing time. They got a boat and kayaks, and were really happy to take us for a ride and help us kayaking too! You got a private bedroom, bathroom and a lounge / mini coffee room. The bed was a dream, bathroom and towels were extremely clean, and our fridge was always filled with snacks and drinks, which was so kind of the hosts! They also made us breakfast, which we ate outside in their beautiful yard.

Super cool!! Tucked away down a gravel road along the side of Patten pond. Have back half of house to yourself complete with bedroom-really nice bathroom and sitting/coffee room. Leslie and George are great hosts and she makes wonderful cookies!! When we arrived we were taken on a pontoon boat ride up and down Patten Pond. About a three mile long lake. We didn’t have time to go kayaking although previous visitors had. That’s all included. It truly was like being in the house with your close friends. If you don’t stay here you’re missing a real gem.

The hosts went out of their way to make breakfast, lunch to bring with us, fresh baked cookies… they told us about local restaurants and sights. They have a lovely garden and patio.

The bed was pretty high. It’s not too near towns.

Hosts were very friendly and made sure our stay was comfortable. They went above and beyond to show hospitality and were so kind.

The only thing that would be nice is if it were a little closer to Acadia NP but it is still a beautiful location.

The experience at Pond Memories was a delightful mix of an airbnb and a private B&B. The guest suite (separated by a heavy curtain) in a corner of a private home features a luxury bedroom, a small sitting room fitted also with some basic dishes and glasses along with a kettle and a freezer/refrigerator, and a spacious bathroom with plentiful hot water and white fluffy towels. In addition, one has access to a lovely patio and garden as well as a large clean and tranquil pond. We did not expect the provision of a little cheese tray and fresh cookies upon arrival, nor the small bowls of yogurt and granola in the morning - so this was a pleasant surprise. The hospitality shown by the hosts was exceptional and each went above and beyond to be helpful and cater for anything we wished ( customized coffee in the morning, borrowing their BBQ grill one evening, and even supplying some much needed sunscreen. In addition they gave excellent suggestions of less traveled destination gems which we very much enjoyed. It was delightful to return each evening to relax in the garden listening for nature's sounds.

There is nothing that we did not like. At first we were afraid this accommodation might be too far off the beaten track for our intended exploration of the Acadia region; but this is NOT the case. It is a very pleasant drive, easy to find, and nearby Ellsworth offers adequate shopping as well as a pretty historical downtown.

This "room" is in a single story manufactured home. It was clean, and very near a beautiful lake. The hosts, who live there were very welcoming.

I was under the impression we were renting a cabin to ourselves. I think the website was misleading, although not untruthful. I would strongly advise being very clear that this rental is a room down the hall separated by a curtain. I was so disappointed we immediately booked and stayed at a hotel.

Leslie and George are amazing hosts. More like a bed and breakfast with homemade snacks and beverages. Lovely home. Comfortable bed and several outdoor places to sit and relax.

We had a wonderful time staying at Pond Memories! We were treated like special family guests. We left with wishes that we could stay longer. The grounds were lovely and provided a nice selection of ways to relax. I wish we had had the time to take advantage of it all. The hosts were great about sharing details of places to visit in Acadia and the area. The food provided was plentiful and delicious!

I can't think of anything that could have made our stay better. We had the best time staying at Pond Memories!
