Escape to a Clifftop Chalet with pool and tennis onsite - 1A Kingsdown Holiday Park

Excellent location, great facilities on site. We had Easter away with daughter, son in law and grandson (age 5). As a base to stay it was excellent, with the added bonus that there was plenty to do on site if/when the weather changed. Our grandson loved the site and really enjoyed a couple of sessions in the swimming pool. Very minor niggle, we used the 3 bedrooms (2 up, 1 down), the only bathroom was downstairs. Very minor, and totally understandable for the property. Personal to me, at 6ft 5 tall the slope of the walls caught me out a couple of times, certainly couldn't sit strait up in bed.

Nothing, the site is excellent, the property was clean, tidy and well presented, and the host was extremely helpful, excellent comms and a lot of very useful information really well presented.

Wonderful Chalet perfect for our family stay, it was cosy and clean. Rob made sure to give us all the information needed and how to operate appliances in the Chalet, our kids truly had a great time!

Well located property, lovely cycle park to Deal, and beautiful sea views. We loved the tennis court and indoor pool. Also, there's a great Indian Chef du Mumbai duck is a short drive away. Rob is a fantastic host. Very responsive and he went above and beyond - including rescuing us when we got locked out!

The location is great. Playground, pool, mini-golf and tennis court was nice.

The chalet is in a poor state. Filthy bathroom, clutter in all cupboards, no possibility to hang any clothes. The mattresses are extremely uncomfortable. 3 out of the 4 beds upstairs don't have a top-layer, so the bedsprings poke in your body. You can't sit outside, the picnic table is broken and the 6 chairs available outside too dirty to sit on. It could be a nice place but it is not well maintained and thus too expensive for what it is.

Location is perfect. A 5 minute walk to the beach. Nice town. Quiet park. Near Deal. Nice walk to Deal.

The accommodation was not clean. The bathroom was particularly filthy with mould on the shower wall, a filthy shower door and rail, and dust everywhere. Outside the picnic bench and table are dilapidated. Can't sit on it anymore, the wood is bent and cracked. The other chairs are filthy. Cigarette in ash tray on arrival. Filthy dishes on chairs. The terrace is facing the playground on one side and 5th hole of the midget golf on another side. Not a nice place to sit given the unkept state. 3 of the 4 single beds upstairs have no topping/are old, thus springs are pockin in your back. The extractor hood isn't working and 1 of the units of the cooking hub doesn't work properly. Filthy glasses in cabinets. In the kitchen an electronic device is measuring the power consumption/budget? No explanation why it is there. Giving us the idea that we had to pay extra if we would reach a certain number.

Self catering. All appliances first rate. Chalet clean and well furnished. Beautiful location and well maintained site. Lovely swimming pool.
