Hotel La Pace - Experience

The bricks and mortar of the hotel are what you'd expect for an older, smaller, non chain hotel. But one doesn't come for the bedrooms, one comes for the experiences in the lobby of the hotel. It is a small hub for history buffs and the like who aren't there to enjoy the hotel room but to get out and explore the area and meet with people. Pino, the owner, but aside an entire day and on very short notice to show our group about and it was the best day of our entire 3 week trip for exploring. Fabulous sites and quirky places of interest along with a great choice of lunch. The staff at the hotel were very helpful as welll.

Comfortable hotel in a great location with fantastic views of Cassino Abbey. Large room and a good breakfast in the morning.

Pino is a great host. Extremely knowledgeable about the battle of Monte Cassino and an enthusiastic raconteur. There is lots of interesting memorabilia for you to browse.
