It was like sleeping on the m25 motor way so close to the road very noisy had to upgrade which cost another £450

Poolsawat was a very good and affordable stay. The rooms are basic and slightly dated but kept very clean and tidy. The view we had from our balcony was spectacular, we could see the pool and the sea, amazing! The breakfast was very good, not a huge selection but all very tasty. We also bought lunch and dinner quite a few times at the hotel restaurant as it was convenient and very tasty, and cheaper than other restaurants in the area. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We were travelling for quite some time when we arrived here so we could get our laundry done by the hotel, very cheap, and was washed and ironed, smelled amazing. Pool was nice and could be used at all hours of the day and night. Everything you need for a comfort stay. It’s about a 15 minute walk to the main Lamai beach and high street, so it’s much quieter here, which we liked. The hotel arranged a taxi for us in the morning to the airport for 600baht.

Slightly dated rooms and bathroom could do with some TLC. Pool was missing some tiles which I cut my toe on. The beach is small and quiet, really only used by poolsawat and one other neighbouring hotel guests but also the view is ruined by the many boats. The water is not as clear here as the boats and pier stop the current, but this also means it’s calm and there are no waves. If you want to go to other places you do need a scooter to get around. Taxis are expensive from here.

This is a very friendly hotel. Staff always gave a lovely welcome. It is extremely clean and well run. The pool is a great size for someone who likes to swim lengths. I stayed in one of the rooms in the main building which backs on to the main road. Because the hotel is located outside Lamai the traffic noise was not too bad at night and I slept well. The Villas are totally protected from traffic noise. Breakfasts were great. The fishing boat harbour opposite the hotel mean that you are better to walk a couple of hundred yards to get to cleaner water

I was there for two weeks. I had absolutely no complaints
