Quayside - Rye East Sussex

Great central location. Very clean and modern premises.

We had a great weekend in the house - lovely and clean and comfortable. Perfect for restaurants and pubs in the town and easy drive ti the beaches.

There were only 4 dining chairs for 6 guests and some of the mattresses were uncomfortable

Clean and spacious. Great outdoor space. Well appointed and freshly decorated. Very close to town.

If you're sensitive to road noise you can hear a bit from the main road but it didn''t really impact on us.

Parking space was blocked the entire time

Property was super spacious, clean and amazing location. Showers were nice, although one made a lot of noise. If the space/location is most important to you, you can't go wrong here. When we spent 45 minutes struggling with lockbox, we were able to talk to service company who helped us.

We really did not like some of the "rules" set by the host. One toilet roll per toilet only, or you'll need to buy more (we didn't use it anyway, just resented the stinginess). Note to please empty the bins as you leave. Squeegees in the shower suggesting we clean after use. Lack of info over washing machine. Lack of info that the lockbox near the property parking space is not the right one. Only one bathroom having hand wash. The 3000 keys it takes to get into and out of the property (you have to get through 3 doors), which really sucks when there's a torrential downpour and one is super stiff. The cleaner showing up 10 minutes after check out and knocking on the door impatiently for us to get out, after I'd already asked for extra 20 minutes so we could wrap up (Check out is at 10am, and check in is at 4pm, they have 6 hours buffer so do you really need to chuck us out immediately...). All of this just leaves a sour taste in the mouth. The property itself was lovely, and we really enjoyed our stay. But sometimes it's the little things done well or not well that make the difference. For gods sake, if you let people use all the toilet roll they want, is it really going to hurt the bottom line?

Noise from traffic outside during the daytime. Ok at night.
