Rural retreat - Tahi cabin

Excellent location, a little out of town with great views of mountains.

We loved everything except the lack of a small tv

The cabin was new and beautifully furnished. Had all the faculties we needed and was close to town. Would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the area.

The rural setting is idyllic. Wake up to the view of a snow covered Mount Ruapehu. Quiet and peaceful, just the sounds of the lambs and the native birds for company. The shower is great, hot and lots of pressure. A new heat pump was installed during my stay so heating no longer an issue.

Be aware, only two towels and no flannels so bring your own. As clearly stated, limited cooking facilities but you just get creative with the large microwave oven instead.

The heater is a bit underpowered. It keeps the room from reaching freezing temps but it is still colder than normal. A 2000 plus watt heater might have been better.

I liked the property and how it was in a rural setting, easy key collection, quiet location

Amenities were very limited, there was tea & coffee services however no milk

Comfortable bed

A little cold because it’s a container house basically
