Alto Club, Alvor, Portugal

The apartment is spacious and very comfortable, including the beds and the sofa. The AC works well, the shutters are a bonus. The terrace is large and looks out onto a grassy area. The terrace and the complex as a whole was very peaceful during our stay. The Alto club is a fantastic place for a holiday in Alvor. The grounds are immaculate and very well maintained. The pool snack bar is reasonably priced and pretty good. The restaurant Thyme by Raccula within the grounds is more expensive but an absolute treat.

The resort is lovely and everyone there very friendly The pool area and snack bar great especially for my grandson who loved the turtles in the pond The apartment is a little dated but very clean and homely and had everything we needed The kitchen was very well equipped especially with the washing machine The apartment was in a good location and the spacious patio was perfect The walk to the supermarket and town was nice

You could sometimes hear the people upstairs moving the patio furniture but this cannot be helped Bit of a trek to the beach if you wanted to go to Three Brothers end but it’s a nice walk along the boardwalk so not a major issue

The apartment was clean and well kept and in a lovely complex. The kitchen was well equipped. Only a 5-10 min walk into Alvor which is a great town with lots of bars and restaurants. A very well stocked supermarket with everything you need and more is just at the bottom of the hill and easily walkable (although maybe not with lots of heavy bags!). Pool area was very nice with great snack bars, a bar and ice cream stall. Didn’t use the restaurant so can’t comment on that.

Nothing really. Only thing I would say that was a bit weird were the pool rules with the 3 x 1 hr slots when balls and inflatables were allowed !

Great location, spacious apartment with everything needed for a relaxing & chilled holiday. Would highly recommend. Great 2 onsite pools, deep pools, nice poolside bar & supermarket down the road. Very quiet & very clean, upmarket resort.

Bathrooms could be upgraded but wouldn't stop me from returning.

Very spacious with great sized terrace. Handy for pool. Had everything we needed and more.

Maybe slightly tired looking but this may just be more noticeable to me as family have a time share which is more modern.

This deluxe 2-bedroom apartment was beautiful. It consists of 2 large bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and spacious slide-robes/storage areas for each bedroom. The kitchen was fully equipped with a microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, toaster, and coffee machine. The large living room featured a dining table and chairs, and the TV area had comfortable couches that could be converted into beds. The expansive terrace was lovely, furnished with an outdoor dining table and sun loungers, and offered a lovely view of the beautiful gardens and birds there. The sun shone on the terrace throughout the day. The apartment has air-conditioning in each room. When we were out during the day, we pulled down the electronic shutters, which kept the apartment cool. The Alto Club complex provided numerous amenities, including an indoor swimming pool, a well-equipped gym, a tennis court, and a lovely outdoor swimming pool. The beautifully landscaped gardens featured ponds with carp, turtles, and frogs, adding to the charm of the surroundings. The complex also has a cafe bar by the pool, the restaurant 'Thyme by Ruccula', and the 'Thyme Out' bar. Reception is open until 8 pm, and the staff there were very friendly and helpful. As a resident of the Alto Club complex, you are entitled to 2 sun-loungers and a parasol on the beach free of charge. They also loan each resident an Alto Club towel for the swimming pool., so you don't need to bring your own At the end of the Alto complex there is a pedestrian gate with security code which allows easy access to the start of Alvor town. It's only a 5-minute walk to the supermarket, and another 5 minutes to the centre of town. We had a fabulous stay in this apartment in Alvor, and plan to go back.
