Charming 1bedroom,roof terrace near Valletta DAZZ1-1

The location was the best. The apartment was lovely, comfortable and uniquely historical in a quiet neighborhood.

We do not like remote checkin as that adds stress. Also, we had difficulty accessing the information on links for use of appliances. Additionally, there was a rather large security deposit that was due on our credit card and we were not informed as to how that would be released after checkout. This was a first for us so it was somewhat concerning We would have appreciated a paper street map to show where we were in relation to sites.

У меня сняли 200 евро страховой депозит с банковского счета, вместо того, чтобы заморозить их. Обещали вернуть через неделю. После 2х недельного ожидания мне пришлось связываться с ними для напоминания. Однако они вернули на 20 евро меньше, ссылаясь на "порчу полотенца". Но мы использовали полотенце только после душа по его прямому назначению. Это вопиющее безобразие. Подумайте над этим, прежде чем бронировать!!

Die Unterkunft war sehr zentral, es gab gute Parkmöglichkeiten und die Wohnung an sich war sehr schön und die Dachterasse war toll.

Leider war die Unterkunft nicht sauber, der Boden wurde weder gesaugt noch gewischt und auch nachdem wir das an die Vermieter weitergeleitet haben wurde darauf nicht wirklich eingegangen. Die Handtücher haben nach einmaligem benutzten direkt schlimm gerochen, sie wurden auf jeden Fall nicht bei 60 Grad gewaschen. Der größere unserer 2 Töpfe war leider nicht für die Induktionsplatten geeignet und auch nachdem wir gefragt hatten und uns versichert wurde, dass wir einen passenden Topf erhalten haben wir keinen erhalten… Außerdem ist die Wohnung wirklich sehr hellhörig. Wir haben unsere Bewohner über uns komplett gehört und auch drum herum jedes Auto, ein Hund hat die ganze Nacht gebellt und alle möglichen Straßengeräusche.

The location was perfect, in general a quiet area, walking distance to Valletta city center, bus stops nearby that would get you to the most important cities of the island. The accommodation was spacious, sparkling clean and we had at our disposal everything we needed. The rooftop terrace is a nice touch, but it is in the common area (accessible for both apartments from the building)

The communication with the property (agency) was defective. First, we had to fill a form before getting there with different details and mentions, in which we asked for an early checkin. We are aware that it was subject to availability, but we were at least expecting a response on the day of check in. We didn’t get it so I had to message them, finding out that the apartment was ready for early check-in. Then, one day before our departure I saw someone working on the key box. Turns out they changed the code, but the agency told us nothing about it. At checkout we were supposed to leave the key in the box, but we couldn’t, so we had to spend 30 min in the street making calls and sending messages without anybody answering. In the end we left the key in the apartment and left, only then to receive messages and calls telling us that we should have left the key in the box. They had to investigate and we had to send proof screenshots of our conversation proving that nobody informed us about the change of the code. We were supposed to be reimbursed the deposit within 14 days, we got it almost a month later. Just across the street was a construction site that starts early in the morning and because, by their nature, Maltese apartments don’t have good insulation, you will hear all the noise.

The location was excellent. Close to all the buses, a lovely cafe/bar around the corner for breakfast. Walking into Valetta was easy as was the walk to the fast ferry to Gozo and the little boats going to and fro between the 3 cities.

Super good location, very close to Valleta, restaurants and ferry to Gozo. Groceries shop available just turning around the corner. Thank god flat had a good AC which provided good comfort. For those who will need good internet connection it will be fine for most of activities.

The place is clean and spacy, well equiped, located almost perfectly, only 50 m from an excellent Sicilian coffee shop and 100 m from a restaurant close to the park. One can easily get anywhere from here, either using the PT or by foot.
