This is absolutely an “unicorn among the horses” type of accommodation. I loved everything about it. The whole family is caring and you can feel their kindness with every spoken word. The whole complex is beautiful, it feels like you live in a temple. Location is perfect for those who wish to stay far away from the buzzing life alongside the beaches. Overall, the atmosphere of this place is outstanding.

Authentic Balinese Experience: Staying in a traditional Balinese home surrounded by intricate carvings and ornate architecture was truly special. Warm and Welcoming Family: The hosts were incredibly kind, making me feel like part of their family. Their hospitality added so much meaning to my stay. Peaceful and Relaxing Atmosphere: The property is quiet, calm, and perfect for unwinding, with lush greenery and vibrant gardens creating a serene environment. Cultural Immersion: Living with a local family allowed me to experience Balinese traditions firsthand. Beautiful Setting: From the stunning gapura entrance to the gorgeous gardens filled with flowers.

We picked this accommodation based on the other reviews as we wanted to experience staying with the family, learning about the culture etc. Unfortunately, and we are not sure why but since we have arrived we weren’t greeted by anyone, during the stay nobody talked to us really, no recommendation as where to eat or things to do. Bear in mind this place is far (not walkable as very steep hills) from any food or shop and the only way to get a food is to get a taxi to Ubud (£4 each way). The room wasn’t very clean and the main door can only be locked with a padlock which leaves a big gap for insects to get in. Windows have mesh on which was ripped at most places. My partner is extremely allergic to mosquitos and we told that to the owner and said we cant stay in a room that has gaps everywhere. The reply was that we can stay in better room but we had to pay extra, which is fair enough but for 5 days there were no other guests so it could have been offered to us. I mean thats what we do in UK as a nice gesture. The room wasn’t cleaned for 5 days, 1x toilet roll only, dirty towels etc. There is no AC in the room. We had no sleep in 5 days due to cockroaches, lizards and mosquitos being in the room and the room was extremely hot so unable to sleep. We asked for a laundry service and were told to leave the laundry outside the door which we did but when we got back later that night the laundry was still there so we had to get a taxi back to Ubud to have that done. Like I said our experience was different to other people that stayed there. Maybe if you want to stay make sure you book Deluxe room but we would rather stay closer to Ubud. Ubud is a cool place and we wish we stayed there instead

I absolutely loved staying with Jero and her family. I felt like a part of the family, as Jero was incredibly kind and even shared her home-cooked meals with me. She included me in Balinese celebrations and holidays, which gave me a truly unique and authentic experience of Balinese culture. The room was comfortable, with good AC and WiFi, and I appreciated the laundry services. Thank you Jero! <3

I honestly can't think of anything I didn’t like. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish!

A beautiful traditional family clan welcomes you with an open heart. A place to linger ... If you want, you can be involved in the ceremonies and traditions. This is the authentic Bali. Thank you Loha for your warm personality, for learning how to make the canang sari and for the good traditional food. Thank you for letting me be a part of your family.

I truly loved the family living in here. They were so helpfull about everything I needed help with. There is a lot of nature around and it's really peaceful.
