Oporto Chic&Cozy - Aliados

The location of the apartment is so convenient and desirable - the metro is right outside the door, and it's a 10-12 minute walk to the riverfront with tons of restaurants, shopping, and more along the way. It's a secure, quiet building with a code to gain access into the building. The size of the apartment and space for storage was appreciated. It's also nicely decorated.

THE BED!! It felt like trying to sleep directly on a spring. Both me and my husband had the worst time trying to get rest, we both woke up multiple times each night, tossing and turning trying to get into a comfortable position. We even took turns trying to sleep on the couch, but it was pointless - we got no rest. I couldn't believe how uncomfortable the bed was (didn't see this mentioned in former reviews). I highly suggest to the owner to purchase a memory foam mattress topper or invest in a better, thicker mattress. If you have any back pain/sensitivities, this place may not be the best option for you due to the poor quality bed. One other side note: the wifi password that I was texted was actually incorrect - the correct password is printed on a laminated paper in the living room of the apartment. Trying to connect with the wrong password wasted 15 minutes of my time - should update that in the text sent to guests.

Excellent central location downtown Porto in a very nice building, with an elevator to upper floors. Modern apartment, nicely decorated.

The apartment was advertised as 2 beds, but there was no bedding for the second sofa bed when we arrived (it was not clear that this needs to be specifically requested in advance). From the photos, the bedroom appeared to be separate from the living room, but there is no door separating the spaces. It was also advertised as having 2 bathrooms, but one was out of order and closed off when we arrived. It felt misleading - what was delivered did not match the price and expectations. It all worked out fine but the host could have been friendlier in his communication.

There was no corkscrew for wine...so I left a bottle unopened. Kitchen seems to not encourage cooking as pots and frying pans are at a minimum. Bathroom sink and tub does not drain well...and off smells in the bathroom. The bed was horribly uncomfortable...4 nights in it were painful.

Location fabulous. Towels super fluffy and lush. Also nice and quiet, was busy outside and we couldn’t hear a thing!

Advertised 2 bathrooms but only one working. No wineglasses. Instructions for microwave would have been helpful plus some more coffee pods! Also key into apartment often stuck.

It is a well located and quiet apartment with nice bathroom and well equipped kitchen. Air conditioner is working. At night you can sleep because the area is quiet but everything walkable from there. Recommend it!
