GASTALDI ROOMS - Old Style

it's close to Gare de Lyon station. A traditional hotel, with s classic French frontage. Helpful staff. All very clean. Close to supermarket, boulangerie and cafes. LP

No bin in the room. Shower small. Room small.

I love the way the property has been setup. so old-fashioned with beautiful details. The bed was comfy and big enough. Beautiful view from both sides of the room. The most beautiful thing was the Piano. The owner were so lovely. quick reply and easy to talk to :) Defo will recommend it

Great host, great location

I don't want to rip the place apart so just some facts.. the room overlooked a busy road and train line so it was loud. There was no ceiling light in my room, 2 very old lamps, one broken. I had a single bed room and the bed was uncomfortable (very old) and felt strange in a huge room.. the pillow supplied was as thin as a blanket but I found a better one in cupboard. The door to my room was frosted glass so light came in when others used bathroom/hallway. in the bathroom not bathroom mat or foot towel was supplied. the stone floor was slippery.

It was a very nice place, properly maintained and clean.

People who stayed in the other room were knocking on the door and wall even if we made little sound. Either they have extraordinary ears or maybe thin walls lol, but we didn't hear them anyway

The location and the balcony were fine.

There was kind of a confusement. We had to pay a "deposit" of 30€ to store our two bikes inside our room which we did not get back afterwards. Also there is no separate bathroom like advertised (it's a shared bathroom with the other two parties) and the Wifi stopped working after one day.
