"Indoors isn't bad but the outside, including the door lock not functioning properly was very bad."

3.0

N/a The indoors of the house was OK.

State of the building was a disgrace. Steps down to the house and outside of the building was littered and filthy. Back garden was neglected and overgrown. The concrete outside the back door was broken and dangerous. The WiFi was turned off and we couldn't find the router. We had to scramble around on the floor in the bedroom to find it underneath the table. Front door lock was not working properly. Our complaints were initially ignored, then we had to go and buy WD40 to free it up.

Location. Management were helpful when discussing problems.

The front door was hard to open, and the key broke in the lock. The outside light didn't work. The steps down were dirty, weeds and rubbish. Noisy neighbours. Plug in the bath didn't work or sink, so couldn't run a bath or fill sink. Tiny flies on bathroom ceiling. As for the garden, it was in a right mess. The whole apartment needed attention. Very disappointing! Nothing like the photos or write up

"Centrally located flat close to Hove beach and easy to get around."

7.0

Good location Easy to find Modern bathroom with no mould Comfortable sofas Pizza place right opposite - super speedy - 18" Margarita for £12.99 Right amount of space for 3 of us - not sure how 8 adults would fit in Very short walk to shops, bars and endless buses

No kerb appeal - couldn't sit outside as what looked like usable outside space in photos was full of foot high weeds. For £200 a night I thought there would be a coffee machine No oven trays & no manual how to work oven Mattresses need replacing Shower wasn't hugely hot but in summer this is okay - might not be so good in winter

"Pleasant"

6.0

Location is excellent, very affordable. Fairly quiet overnight, a little traffic noise. Property has obviously been modernised with up to date kitchen and bathroom. The shower is particularly good. Management company answered queries quickly.

On arriving first impression poor, due to poorly maintained front entrance/ stairs. Back garden needs TLC, not represented correctly in advertising photo's. The painted Roman mural on the back walll 'interesting'. Further TLC needed throughout the property, a touch of paint etc. Unfortunately when we arrived there was a very strong smell of sewage from the drain in the back garden and kitchen area. Which management company explained could have been due to the torrential rain from the previous few days. This persisted throughout the stay, thankfully not as strong. Person who slept in the lower room affected.
