Clean, all new, modern, everything works. The proprietor, Giovanni, was very attentive to detail and ensured we were all set up. Super nice. There was food and drink in the fridge and pasta and crackers etc. in the cabinets so we didn't even have to shop for a couple days. And he has family next door for anything that comes up like needing dishwasher pods etc. Nocelle is quieter than 'downtown' Positano. Also a little cooler and the air is nicer.

Not much we didn't like. The trickiest thing is getting back from Positano. Getting to Positano is easy, there is a bus that starts it's run right in the parking lot up the steps, at ten of the hour, and you are always the first people on it. But getting back from Positano sometimes ends up being a taxi ride as the buses become too full, and just roar past you at the bus stop. Learn a few good places in town to catch a taxi (45 euros) and you're OK.

White House Gio was an exceptional holiday rental experience. The little village of Nocelle was delightful: hospitable, peaceful, with exquisite views. We appreciated the proximity to Positano but without the throng of tourists, the exposed heat and the July summer madness. Our host Giovanni was delightful and spoke perfect English. He contacted us well before arrival, organising porters to carry our suitcases down the steps to his stunning apartment. Giovanni met us on arrival and departure. He was warm, welcoming and extremely helpful with all matters concerning the apartment, Nocelle and Positano. Angela, his neighbouring sister, gave us fresh tomatoes, basil, and lemons from her garden. After returning from a boiling day at the beach, she even welcomed us with a plate of cold watermelon. The fridge was stocked with cold meats, yoghurt, wine and milk, and we were given plenty of local snacks - not needing to replenish the whole week. We enjoyed having breakfast on the patio overlooking the sparkling ocean. The apartment is tastefully furnished, newly renovated and beautifully clean and maintained. We enjoyed all the modern necessities, such as good wifi, an espresso machine, flatscreen TVs, a washing machine and the natural gifts, such as gorgeous sunlight to dry our newly purchased Positano linens. The two restaurants of Nocelle were both delicious and different in style and cuisine. My husband's favourite holiday ritual would be popping up to the local piazza for his morning espresso and chatting with Antonio (Giovanni's cousin) at The Lemon Point. He would watch the early morning hikers stopping for a refreshing lemon granita. Nocelle is the starting point or the ending point of Il Sentiere degli Dei (The Path of the Gods), offering some of the best views of the Amalfi and well worth hiking. Saying goodbye to Nocelle, Giovanni, and his warm family was the worst part of the stay.

Giovanni was the best host you could have asked for. Extremely sweet, courteous and thoughtful. His sister Angela even more sweeter and kind. They made every possible effort to make our stay there a memorable one. His home is very modern but held all the charms of an mountainside home. The view is breathtaking and you could never have enough of it. The place is not for the faint hearted as you need to be fit to enjoy and make the most of the place 😊

The fact that they had only two restaurants with one being a little on the expensive side was the only drawback.

Giovanni is the best host one could ask for. He went out of his way to make sure that our stay was very comfortable. He made us feel like we are part of his family. On multiple occasions, he brought us food. He also picked us up from the bus station and refused to be compensated. The house is new, extremely clean with a great taste in furniture. The view is just amazing!! Maybe the best view in Positano. Book this place if you want a relaxing family vacation.

If you like the house on the sea and sky line, this will be your first choice. It is halfway up the mountain and woken up by the beautiful scenery in the morning. Everything is too much to enjoy
