B&B Il Giardino Dei Templi

The location was fantastic as we came to go to the Valley of the Temples and it was right down the street...a bit of a walk if you're not used to it but not too far either. The room was the same size if not a little bigger than the standard hotel room in the states...the shower was fantastic with great water pressure. The room had automatic shutters that really kept the light out...the common area was a good size and had sofas for lounging. The Wi-fi was strong enough for me to stream episodes on my iPad which is usually a frustration staying at hotels in the states. They had these biscuits/cookies in a jar that I couldn't get enough of. There is a seafood restaurant right downstairs...and a small cafe bar like place right next door to it. The staff were great! Completely friendly and even though I don't speak Italian, using Google Translate and hand gestures we got our messages across. They made me a cappuccino the last morning I was there and actually got up for breakfast...and I had a delicious croissant with the coffee. I would definitely come back to stay here again!

The place said it came with parking and I drove from 2.5 hours away but the parking was really on the street. Luckily there was a small common parking area around the corner and I was able to use that for the 2 days. It worked out but it was a little misleading.

Despite a language difference, our hosts went out of their way to communicate with us and make excellent recommendations on places to visit and restaurants to eat at. We were also offered a lift to the Valley of the Temples, which led to a perfect evening of exploring beautiful views at sunset. A wonderful stay.

Great location (if you prioritize being within walking distance to the Valley of the Temples rather than the Agrigento city center) and great view from the balcony; no problems finding a car park in the vicinity; welcoming staff; good breakfast (nothing too fancy, pastries and yoghurts and cold cuts, but we found them good enough); rather spacious room.

There was a lot of noisy traffic through the roundabout right under the room's balcony throughout the nights - might be a problem if you prefer to sleep with your windows open; A/C was working but not quite keeping up with the August heat during the day.

Proprietario gentilissimo e sempre disponibile; posizione estremamente vantaggiosa; camera moderna e ben accessoriata, letto comodo, bagno confortevole. Ampia disponibilità di parcheggio dietro alla struttura; intorno bar e ristoranti. Vivamente consigliato.
