Miners cottage DH1 Bungalow Free Parking Longstay

Very clean and well organised. Nice park close by for a dog walk or jog.

Spacious, clean, good location

We booked the place for our Graduation from Durham University. The place was very easy to find and located very close to the city center. The communication with the Property owner was seamless. We received clear instructions for check-in and all other instructions to make our stay amazing. The owner was especially helpful during the checkout and allowed us to stay for a while longer, which was really nice of them.

The parking space had a metal bump which hit the car when we tried to park the car on the property. We ended up parking the car in front of the house since the space was available.

The host was very helpful and supportive. Easy to contact either by phone or email (with quick response). The place is very nice and clean and comfortable. I would say location requires a car and makes it not ideal, but the house has its own parking space in the house, so needing a car is no problem at all. I totally recomend it and next time I'll try to go there. Thanks Son for your help.

What I didn't like, to force myself to say something, is that the lights outside the house did not work and was a bit difficult to see when arriving at night. They need change of batteries and I did not have the proper screwdriver. Other than that nothing I did not like.

The accommodation was just like the photos, it was also very clean. The beds were very comfortable. There was an enclosed patio area which we liked. A nice touch was the bottled water and milk in the fridge and the biscuits. The location was excellent for getting into Durham City centre, it was near a bus stop, there was also a park and ride nearby which we used. There was off road parking. There were plenty of takeaways and restaurants within walking distance. Sainsbury express shop nearby too. Our host was very attentive via the Booking.com messaging service checking in with us to make sure everything was ok. We would stay here again.

A really spacious bungalow in an ideal location for our family Christmas in Durham. Lots of handy shops close by. Generous welcome pack and comfy beds. The kitchen is large enough for a family Christmas dinner, much appreciated. The shower was a good drench and parking for 2 cars, which was handy when my relatives turned up to feed.

The central heating controls were modern so I had to Google the instructions. Not a reflection on the property, just my lack of knowledge.
