I stayed here with a friend, and we booked two separate rooms. Everything was smooth from the start. The hosts, Madu and Chathuranga, were amazing—very kind, helpful, and always available for anything we needed. They truly go above and beyond to make sure everything is taken care of. Their two lovely kids also add to the warm and welcoming atmosphere and make the place feel very comfortable. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was fresh and enjoyable. Highly recommended! the rate should be 10

I gave a lower rating despite the hosting family being a 10/10. Madu and Chathuranga were excellent and did everything perfectly. However, there was very loud music coming from nearby at full volume during the afternoons and into the night for several days, and unfortunately, the property owner did not address this issue. It’s important to note that this is not related to the hosting family, who were truly great.

Beds had mosquito nets. Quiet location away from the busy road. Cheaper than a lot of other properties. Large spacious room and bed.

Location was difficult for the tuk tuks to find. Bed very squeaky. Lots of insects in the bathroom due to the vent. Very loud AC. Ground floor rooms meant we were woken up by other residents having breakfast right outside the door. Owner asked for payment daily and didn’t communicate with us otherwise. There were some stains on the bedsheets. WiFi weak at times.

Tolle Unterkunft, eingebettet in eine sehr herzliche, freundliche und sichere Nachbarschaft. Der Strand ist in wenigen Gehminuten erreichbar, und ein kleiner Kiosk befindet sich direkt vor der Tür. Zimmer und Bad sind sehr geräumig und sauber. Die Familie ist unglaublich hilfsbereit und herzlich, man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Das Frühstück ist lecker und bietet einen guten Standard. Ich habe mich rundum wohlgefühlt und komme sehr gerne wieder.

Für längere Aufenthalte ist das Frühstück etwas eintönig.

The best part of this place is for sure the family who runs the place! A wonderful couple with their two lovely kids, I fell in love with the kids and was so amazed by this warm family. Whatever I needed they brought me as fast as possible with warm smile! If I'll come back to this place is only for this great warm family. They should get big bonus to their salary!!!

There were some nights where there was some strong music played from the neighbors, This is something the owner of the place need to handle ASAP as this is ruining the great experience of this place

Ich hatte hier einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt von einer Woche. Die Familie die das Homestay führt ist total herzlich und ich habe mich sofort wohlgefühlt. Bei Fragen oder Problemen konnte ich mich immer an sie wenden. Das Haus liegt etwas abseits von den größeren Straßen in einer schönen und grünen Wohngegend, umgeben von Palmen. Es ist deswegen sehr ruhig und ich konnte hier auch den ein oder anderen gemütlichen Spaziergang machen. Am Kabalana Beach ist man zu Fuß trotzdem in 5 min und in der Innenstadt auch in 5-10 min. Die Lage ist also top! Ich hatte das Kingsize Zimmer mit Dusche und war sehr zufrieden. Das Zimmer war groß und gemütlich und das Bad war auch sehr geräumig. Es hatte auch ein Moskitonetz. Vom Rooftop aus konnte man einen tollen Sonnenuntergang sehen. Mit dem Frühstück war ich auch zufrieden. Wenn ich jemals wieder nach Sri Lanka komme, würde ich hier wieder hin!
