Beautiful Garden Flat I Two Bedroom I Sleep 6 Guests

Good safe feeling location close to some lovely little cafes & boutique bakeries & family friendly pub resturaunt, 15 min walk (with a bit of a hill) to main Train St in Brighton & town centre. Little co-op 2 min walk for essentials Appartement was modern Beds were fairly comfortable Plenty towels Plenty clothes hangers Well equipped with washer/dryer, fridge freezer & dishwasher

We were disappointed as the apartment had not been cleaned properly, cupboards, walls, floors, bathrooms all dirty/marked, surfaces with crumbs, oil & grime, bathroom door looked like it had poo on it, bathroom walls all streaky with spray from previous person - /which could have been easily cleaned/wiped down with a clean cloth! There was 2 bathrooms & NO HAND Soap (we spent our first evening having to go out to buy soap & 'essential cleaning equiptment to clean the apartment) !?! It was a well equipped apartment with washer/dryer & dishwasher but again no dishwasher tablets or washing powder, not even fairy liquid in the kitchen. Also very annoyed there was NO HAIRDRYER!?! We have stayed in other lodges for under £50 per night that we're spotlessly clean that include a welcome basket with all the self catering essentials needed including shampoo & conditioner, dishwasher tabs, kitchen towel cleaning cloths, washing powder etc.. So to pay almost £200 per night & not even be provided with SOAP was highly unsatisfactory to say the least! There was also an area in the hallway with frayed carpet with sharp carpet grips protruding that we all hurt out feet on, the bedroom drawers had sharp screws that we cut our hands on, bathroom had cracks on walls, broken ill fitting toilet seats Shower plumbing was shoddy - only scolding hot water came out no mater what direction you tried the tap adjuster & missing pictures on the walls.. I could overlook 1 or 2 of these annoyances but accumulatively it just let the whole place down. If all of the above was addressed & rectified I would consider staying here again - the apartment itself has the potential to be quite nice.
