Casa Sangineto - Minori - Costa Amalfitana- A Paradise in the countryside

We really enjoyed our stay and Flora and her son Donald were so welcoming and helpful. Flora really go out of her way to make you feel at home, and she will do her best to help you with any enquiries you may have. We can recommend going for at 4 course dinner at Villa Maria, which is within 5 mins walking from Casa Sangineto, so you don't need to go all the way down the many stairs. Ask Flora to help book a table ahead,

One has to be pretty practical when venturing out from Casa Sangineto, because you don't want to go down and up the 300 stairs more than ones daily. But we knew and we were prepared, and we had deliberately chosen the country side location to beat the crowds and enjoy the tranquility, nature and great view.

Without exaggeration, the most wonderful host and accommodation we visited in Italy! Although there are many stairs, it is worth it for the view and the amazing host! The accommodation is in a lemon grove, which is equipped with everything (breakfast, cutlery, microwave, coffee maker, whatever you need) and it is a very nicely designed, clean guest house with large spaces and comfortable rooms. If someone wants to experience what typical Italian hospitality is like, then Flora is the best person for that, she prepared a divine Italian dinner and breakfast for us with local ingredients, it was amazing, and helped us with all our questions. Our best host so far! We will definitely come back here!

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Sangineto, it was definitely the best part of our holiday. The apartment is lovely- really bright and airy. It is located up on a hill, so peaceful and the views are stunning. To get there from the town, there is a regular community bus which takes you halfway. After that , there is no road to the property, just steps. When you first arrive with your bags , Flora and her son will meet you from the bus. From there they have a rather unique monorail to take your bags- there is also room for one person to sit and ride. After that , you will need to climb the steps, this property would not suit anyone with mobility problems. It is so worth it when you reach the top, Flora is lovely and couldn’t have been more welcoming. When we arrived, she sat us down on the lovely terrace and gave us home made lemon juice and iced tea. I was concerned that I hadn’t bought any food or water. I needn’t have been. She had kindly filled the fridge with water and provided way more than the basics She had brought us breakfast stuff, fresh coffee and milk. She’d also made us some food for dinner and provided pasta and fresh home grown tomatoes. I love cooking, so really enjoyed using the tomatoes to make a fresh sauce- it tasted so good. We slept really well, it’s so peaceful and the beds are comfortable. We didn’t bother using the community bus going down to Minori, we just walked and enjoyed the lovely views. Minori itself is lovely, I was so pleased that we chose to stay here rather than one of the more popular, far busier towns. It’s just as beautiful but far more laid back. It’s also less expensive than the more well known towns. It’s really easy to get around and explore the rest of the coast from there , with regular bus services passing through. The Amalfi coast is truly stunning and great to explore. Thankyou Flora for making our stay so special.

Sangineto was a gem. They are very generous and welcoming to their guests. They are attentive and they can help with everything you need. The sea view is unbeatable. So is the perspective over Ravello. We also had the opportunity to use the monorail to carry our luggage. This was probably the highlight of our stay. And all those lemon tree farms that surround the place are just wonderful. It's a very peaceful location both during night and day. We slept so well. Minori center is easily accessible with the local minibus. Sangineto is also close to Sentiero dei Limoni. They also gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants. You should definitely try ndunderi minoresi if you're in Minori. Thanks Flora and Donald for everything. Thanks for the home made cookies. We felt like home.

This place is quite magic. You start with going up a lot of stares, which honestly isn’t for everyone but it’s part of the whole experience. You then get to a well equipped house on top of the mountain with a stunning view on the lemon fields, Minori, and the sea. Flora is so kind, she cooked dinner for us (with her own garden products) as we arrived late. She’s been an incredible host, I don’t think we could experience something similar even if we tried. I was with two friends and we stayed for 3 days. Her son Donald was willing to help with everything, we’re genuinely grateful. We keep this address very close as we want to go back and we’re recommending it to our close friends and couples as Flora deserves kind people craving for authentic and out of the box experiences. Thanks again Flora and Donald, we’re pretty sure your special place will keep being a great success. We wanted to do our best to picture how great this place is. We understood we were the first guests, more people need to enjoy it.

Everything was great

We recently had the opportunity to stay for a few days and I must say it was exceptional. We were met by a lovely and very welcoming host who assisted us with just about everything, from navigating the area to getting recommendations of places to visit. We got two spacious rooms with all the amenities a traveler would need and a wonderful view of the sea, it is truly a serene feeling. The atmosphere was great, the breakfast was delicious.
