Casa de Paz - Destination to American Dream Mall, NYC, Washington Heights

Traditional house in local residential area. Close to bus stops to get into Manhattan and good frequent bus service throughout the day, and reasonable cost.

Some lack of detail and door code issues at start of our stay. Should have been clearly advised "at front of house, up grey stairs, apartment is left-hand door". House could do with some maintenance as door access to get in was a constant issue, regular chirping of some kind of detector like a smoke alarm, some sockets don't work to charge phones, pipe covers falling off and other things falling like curtain pole. Unable to close curtains in one bedroom and draughty. Not enough utensils eg no pizza cutter.

The Hosts Jag and Nestor were very welcoming, we had talked on the phone beforehand and they even offered to change to the appartement more fitting for our needs. The appartement was well laid out, was very well detailed in all aspects, clean and we were even allowed to use the back-yard but because we always were in nearby Manhattan we never got the chance to hang out longer at the appartement. Shopping possibilities were near, neighbourhood seemed calm and safe. We could have easily stayed longer and felt very welcome in every aspect.

As European family we often do like to sit in the kitchen for a small breakfast, but not really a big problem, the Living room offered possibilities. Even though there are many ways to get to Manhattan if that's your plan, you need to plan ahead if you take the ferry or the bus...and even though not a big distance it can take a while if to get to the other side if you're on a schedule you need to plan with sufficient time in-between. Anyhow, we managed all things and loved our stay.

Absolutley loved our stay..the house is immaculate and has everything you need..great after a day in the city to come back and relax..easy connections to get into the city. Would 100% recommend

We had a great time at Casa de Paz. Was a pleasure to meet the hosts. Very nice people, with great personalities and very welcoming. We felt home, the place was very clean and we had zero problem with parking. Initially we booked the second unit, but due to a double booking, the host decided to upgrade us to their stunning newer unit free of charge, and that was great. The place is so well located with easy transit options to NYC and other parts of NJ. You have the bus, the ferry, and the train. There is a park down the street for walks. Overall, I would recommend Casa de Paz anyday, with no doubt

The place was a perfect place to come home to after spending the day in the city.

Nothing the only thing is it is not really 20 mins from NYC but that has more to do with the traffic and less to do with the property.
