Saint Barth Guest House - Historic Loft in Bari

Fantasic Stay :) Highly recommend

The only good things about this accommodation were the location, located in the historic center of the city and... the wi-fi connection.

I had bad communication ever since I asked for details about check-in and the way to enter the accommodation. He simply did not respond to messages. I requested a new row of clean towels. He told me that we receive clean towels...but he probably forgot, he forgot about cleaning, but also about that metal object in the socket by the bedside table. Not to mention the mold and mildew on the walls, the musty smell and the noise of the neighbor. "kitchen-coffee machine" was specified on the booking. I didn't expect to have a kitchen in the true sense of the word, but I thought that at least there would be tableware and a place to eat, we had a coffee machine but no coffee pills or cup.

I rate this place a 3 star overall because the location was amazing. It was central and so close to everything so transport wasn't needed, everything was walking distance. The room we stayed in was incredible and modern. Its located next to the old town Bari Vecchia, it wasn't our first time in this area so we know it's safe. The communication with the manager of the property was great. I would highly recommend if you're looking for a place with a great location as this was the main attraction for us. There was a mini fridge, plenty of storage and a hair dryer with nozel and diffuser attachment was provided. TV with options to watch Netflix and Prime video. Big mirror in the bathroom with lighting. Would have been more ideal with another mirror in the room ideally a long wall mirror. WiFi is fast and efficient.

There were a couple of issues we experienced during our stay at this lovely place that we hadn't experience in this area before as we know Bari and the old town very well, we have family from here. One of the days of our stay, our door buzzed open, someone had entered our room quickly realising, apologising and immediately left. Each door has a code & each room has a key. The door only buzzes open if code is used. To my knowledge the codes must have been the same, after speaking with the manager to explain this was unacceptable we received a sincere apology, I think from this point forward the code system may have been adjusted more appropriatly. A different afternoon we had some noise disturbance from some kids knocking & running away, kids may be kids but this was a disturbance. Immediately speaking to the manager we received a further apology & were informed there are cameras outside the property so the issue could be dealt with easily. Due to these two situations we explained we are expecting a discount and were thankfully offered one. There was a coffee machine with some refreshments, however they weren't topped up during our stay. Despite it being a guest house and not a hotel, I have stayed in a variety of B&B/guest houses before where refreshments like this have been presented and topped up. I guess this depends on the decision of the host. There needed to be more plug sockets in the room too.
