Modern and cozy 2-guest flat with gated parking

I liked everything. The location is perfect, lots of good walks in Bushy park and along the river, a very short walk over the bridge into Kingston for shops and restaurants, numerous bus stops and the train station close by. The flat was very comfortable, well furnished, well equipped, and nice and warm in this cold February weather. I liked watching the birds in the trees from the floor-to-ceiling lounge window.

Was quite hot inside during the hot weather and the thermostat would put itself up later on. Our parking spot was directly under a tree and the car got quite dirty over time.

Close to transportation and restaurants. Stay was almost as good as home.

It was a little difficult to figure out the hot water system. Then again, we are Yanks.

A short flight of stairs at the entry might be a problem for less mobile people

Perhaps some written instructions on things. eg how to use the television ( although we were able to sort it ourselves)

Beautifully presented apartment, large lounge area and bedroom and the kitchen, although galley style, was more than large enough. Beautiful big bathroom and although there was an apparent spasmodic difficulty with the shower the hosts left a note on how to overcome this issue (which we did not need to use fortunately). The kitchen had all the appliances you could want or need including a washing machine (which was of great use to us) and a dishwasher. Heating was good and the bed comfortable. Lovely quiet area.

Although I knew the apartment was out of the city centre which I wanted, I did not realise how far out it was. The railway station was close by (about a 10 minute walk) but travelling by train the first day and not fully understanding where to go and the London rail/underground system, we travelled to Waterloo Station which took approx. 1.5hrs. We then figured out that we could travel part way by train (first to Wimbledon) and then via the underground to whichever sights we wanted, but again this took approx. 1.25 to 1.5 hrs (each way) assuming we got connections within a reasonable time. The apartment blurb did not state that stairs are involved and although we managed, I think this should be mentioned at the outset as people may have mobility issues.

The apartment was furnished perfectly with everything that you need. It was peaceful and quiet.
