Luxe Apartment Madrid 7 paradas de Metro de Sol

It was a beautiful, brand-new apartment—Japanese style—with all the amenities. It was a short walk to the red-line metro La Alamudena (this red line is for all the tourist bus stops or museums (de Prado, Thyssen). The walk is past a Dia (grocery store) and a park. It was quite pleasant. The hosts were helpful with metro directions (though the metro maps are excellent), taxi phones, and great advice. The door key was not hard to get even though we reached past 11 p.m. The neighborhood was safe, and the safety lock worked well—it just needed a cell phone light (keep your cell phone charged) at night to open the safety lock.

There is not much not to like. We enjoyed it.

I loved how clean and tidy the place was. The beds are really comfortable and with the addition of a jacuzzi, it’s a no brainer! Ibby was really amazing at checking up on us and giving us recommendations to restaurants and places to visit. I would definitely come back.

Ibby gave a call everyday to ensure that all was well. She also suggested places to visit and to eat and provided clear instructions on how to use the various appliances and how to take the to possible subway lines. With the nearby supermarkets and bakeries we were able to arrange for almost all our meals and avoid the costly restaurants of Madrid. We saved enough money to eat at a real fancy restaurant, Taxis had no problem finding us and the trip to the airport was less than 30 Euros.

The neighbourhood looks a little depressed but after the first night, we realized that it is friendly and much safer than Madrid city itself. The shop keepers were friendly and chatty. Ibby assured us that the neigbours would treat us like one of them.

Lovely apartment, beautiful interior, very clean and comfortable.

Little bit far from the city centre of Madrid, but train station is nearby and doesn’t take too long to get there.
