Cozy Home Away 1-Bed Retreat with Kitchen Bliss

Very good location a short walk from the town centre of Rye. There was a car park directly opposite at £5 per day which we found very useful.

We are both elderly and found the two flights of stairs without handrails quite hard!

It advertised parking but didn’t say we would have to find and pay for parking nearby Didn’t mention there were two flights of stairs to climb - my husband and I are in our late 60’s and 70’s - carrying suitcases up was a real effort for us - would be fine for younger/more agile guests

When I came to the apartment there was:    •   Fly infestation, particularly in the bedroom    •   Non-functioning television    •   Broken blinds in the living room    •   Clogged sink in the kitchen    •   Lack of soundproofing, despite being advertised as soundproof    •   Unusable bed sofa, which was described as sleepable The described on-site restaurant was not existing (the photos from the ad were photos stolen from The Old Borough Arms - a different hotel in another area of Rye, who has subsequently reported this identity theft and the photos and false information has now been taken down) I attempted to contact the host both by phone and message immediately upon discovering these issues, but received no response.  As a result, I had to leave the apartment after only three hours and secure alternative accommodation at my own expense. The condition of the apartment and the lack of communication from the host constitute a clear breach of contract and false advertising, both of which go against Booking.com’s standards. Cozy Home refuse to compensate and refund me.

Great location in the centre of Rye. Newly furnished nicely, and a nice apartment. Comfy and clean and good hosts who were accommodating of one request I made.
