It was very close to the airport.

The pictures on the booking site lead me to belived that we were booking a larger place. Instead we ended up in a converted back building attached to the main house. There were also ants.

Location was excellent, but not in a "beach area", and certainly not a beach "villa"!

The door threshold was dry-rotted and a chunk of it broke off when I first entered the door. Invasion of (of all things) CENTIPEDES. I captured 29 of them during my 10 day stay. One actually climbed into my bed, which psychologically affected my sleep over the course of my stay. Then a budding community of tiny red ants began to invade the kitchen counter. Outside trash barrels were overflowing with trash when I arrived, and 10 days later still overflowing. (never emptied!) There were more full trash bags on the ground than in the FULL barrels. A neighbor asked me to tell the landlord that the trash was stinking up the neighborhood. Automatic code-activated door lock mechanism worked well, BUT the doorframe had no metallic strike-plate, so the wood of the doorframe would obviously be easy to breach with pressure. Paid for cleaning, but no one ever showed up, not even to change the towels. Absentee Landlord or property manager communicated via email and didn't react to reported problems. I reported the infestation and two days later a person showed up to spray the perimeter of the building, but NEVER came inside. I saved for this vacation for two and a half years but each day I'd come back to this dreadfully problematic situation which ruined the fun of it all.

This was a very nice stay.
