Loved the basket with a few goodies in, lovely touch. House is well equipped, home from home and decorated beautifully throughout. Edale short walk through the footpaths, avoiding the road.

The plumbing wasn't great on the shower drains resulting in the floor tray overfilling which caused some stress on the visit but the owner was helpful

"Gorgeous cottage on the edge of Edale. Would definitely stay again."

9.0

Very convenient for Edale with gorgeous views. Clean and well appointed throughout with good kitchen and bathroom facilities. Comfortable beds, pretty garden with outdoor seating. Quiet and private. Off-street parking for 2 cars, and the lockbox made access very easy. Great communication from the host.

The wood pellet boiler was rather noisy, and although we didn’t need it for heating, it wasn’t clear how long you needed to run it for to get enough hot water for 3 showers - so we ended up running it longer than necessary on the first night. A very minor complaint, but worth being aware that it’s a bit more involved than just flicking a switch for hot water.

"Great location, comfy and well equipped cottage"

10.0

Really comfortable and very well equipped with lots of thoughtful extras like teas, coffee, oil, washing machine soap, dishwasher tablets, etc etc very comfortable beds. Location is great and we did a lovely walk to kinder scout from the cottage.

Nothing really. The house is heated with a wood pellet burner which is a bit noisy but very efficient so it wasn’t a major problem. There are oil heated radiators as an alternative to the burner so we just used the burner on the morning to heat water for hot water for showers.

The cottage is beautiful. So well laid out and the decor is fabulous. The views of Mam Tor from the garden is stunning. There are walks right from the doorstep and it’s near to Hope and Castleton. We all loved it including the dogs and would definitely stay again

"This charming cottage, overlooking the stunning Mam Tor, is just a short stroll from Edale."

10.0

This charming cottage, overlooking the stunning Mam Tor, is just a short stroll from Edale, a village brimming with a wonderful sense of community. The host was fantastic, and the cottage itself was beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and perfectly maintained. We can’t wait to book again!
