GBThe location was good. It's a 10 minute walk to a parade of shops with a Starbucks, several restaurants, and supermarket.
We arrived late afternoon on New Years Eve, as per the booking instructions. There is a private resident living on the ground floor of this property, will full view of the pool. This was not made clear when booking the property. The house smelt slightly damp, the outdoor furniture is well worn, the pool floaties falling apart, only half the lights worked in the kitchen. We had booked this property because of the hot tub but when we took the lid off it, the water was green, had a dirt rim around it and smelt of eggs. We messaged the management company who said they would send someone out. At this point it was 6pm on NYE, it wasn't going to be cleaned to able to use that evening. We were only staying three days, two once you take into consideration the late check in/early check out. We were so disappointed. This house wasn't cheap to rent. I didn't want a stranger potentially watching my children in the pool, i certainly didn't want to sit on any of the outdoor furniture, and we clearly weren't going in the hot tub. We checked out and went to stay at a hotel. We have complained to both the management company and Booking.com. This has fallen on deaf ears and no compensation has been offered by either.
