Rocky Bay on the View

The views, the peacefulness, the ability to escape from civilization yet being so close to town, the sunsets, the linen and cleanliness.

My 92 year old mother struggled with the heat in the afternoon on one very hot day but was very fortunate to be able to keep cool in the master bedroom where the air conditioning kept her amazingly cool despite setting the A/C's temperature at 28C. We were able to cool down in the beautiful sea pool and it wasn't long before the evening sea breeze returned.

I honestly can't begin to describe how amazing this place was! The location is peaceful and secluded while still being convenient and close to the town. The restaurant next door is great. The view is exceptional. The house had every comfort and amenity. I was traveling with three generations: myself, a teenage girl and two elderly parents. The house had everything to make each of them comfortable and happy. They really thought of everything. One particularly pleasant surprise was that my mum was having trouble sitting on the beach and I thought I would have to rent a chair. We found camping chairs in the home! Tea, coffee, sugar, milk, water, biscuits and even toothpicks at hand! The furniture and decor is comfortable and stylish. The place was clean and spacious. Beautiful kitchen and fireplace. The co-hosts Oscar and Kerri were wonderful, they were always responsive and communicative and ensured all our special needs were met.

The only issue was wi-fi which understandably is difficult because of the geography of the area and the hosts warned me in advance. Personally, I was not bothered at all but I was traveling with a teenager and a grandpa who are both addicted to their phones. If the hosts manage to secure working wi-fi, this place will be faultless.

This is such a beautiful place! It’s calming, peaceful and has all the facilities you need. I love that it’s solar because there’s no loadshedding. It’s a walk away from the beach and you get to watch the sunset even from your bedroom. My family and I really enjoyed our stay and we would definitely come back
