GBThe property and the people inside the property offer so much more than a hostel. Both offer care, comfort and opportunities. I had the best time there I ended up extending my stay. If you are in the Weligama area, you have to stay here !

Massively overpriced for what it offers. The location is the only redeeming quality—everything else falls far below expectations. Management is rude, dismissive, and clearly uninterested in guests unless you are spending extra money on surf packages. There is none of the welcoming, social, inclusive atmosphere that solo travellers typically expect from a hostel. Instead, the entire place feels transactional and driven purely by extracting money from guests. A perfect example: when I asked for help arranging an airport taxi, I was bluntly quoted €90 with zero effort to assist further—more than double the normal private taxi rate from Weligama. It felt like blatant price gouging. This hostel tries to market itself like a premium lifestyle destination, but the service is nowhere near that standard. In reality, it delivers poor hospitality at luxury prices. If you are a backpacker or solo traveller looking for value, community, or genuine hospitality, avoid this place.

Wenige Liegemöglichkeiten am Pool Die Wasserqualität des Pools war oft schlecht. Sehr trübes Wasser. Surfpaket ist recht teuer

NLNLThe social aspect of the hostel is great, but you pay for it, surfcamp is to expensive for a beginner, there were some great teachers, but the teacher I got was not really good. Apart from that the famely dinner was great, but again pretty expensive for just the meal. So if you find connecting, meeting new people easy important and don't mind paying a bit extra for it, then it's a great fit.
