8Murrayfield, St Abbs

The house was really nice. It was larger than I expected with a lovely large downstairs bedroom and bathroom with 2 upstairs bedrooms. There was a huge flatscreen tv with sky and Netflix a lovely fully equipped kitchen, a nice little garden and st Abbs is such a nice little village with a stunning surrounding coastal area.

Honestly I wasn’t disappointed with anything.

We loved the location the cottage was in. It was so easy to walk to the harbour, and the village store/post office was just a few doors away. We couldn't fault the cottage. It was lovely and clean, and the hosts were so thoughtful. On arrival, they had supplied us with lovely biscuits and small jars of jam as well as milk. The kitchen is so well stocked with plates, crockery, etc. It has everything a family would need. The beds were so comfortable, and the bedding was nice and fresh. We were supplied with towels and even beach towels.We would find it very hard to pick fault with the cottage. On our last day today, we got up really early to watch the sunrise over the harbour. It was a beautiful site to see. We had gorgeous fresh crab baguettes at Ebbcars cafe along with homemade fruit scones with jam and cream.We walked the St Abbs head pathway. The views are absolutely stunning. We will be visiting 8 Murrayfields again in the future. It's a bit of heaven on earth in St Abbs.

There wasn't anything we disliked.

Excellent holiday cottage with kind and friendly hosts. Kitchen superbly equipped and comfortable beds. Towels for both house and beach, washing machine that made the week work and views from the end of the road to savour during the winter months. The bisquits were a great extra as were the generous provision of tea and coffee! All together, it created a feeling of warm welcome and happy stay 😊

The cottage was incredible. Far exceeded our expectations. We had the most incredible time away and it was made perfect by this beautiful property. The location is insane with how close it is to the sea and other villages. Great to stay at if visiting Edinburgh too.

The location was great! They also had a wonderful neighbor. It offered us the views of the coast and a part of the countryside we were looking for.

Spotless, comfortable, and every gadget and kitchen utensil you could possibly need. Lovely outdoor space. Dog friendly. Beautiful location in a lovely friendly village. Great transport links to A1 and train station in Dunbar. Lovely friendly owners.

Cosy, clean and comfortable. Exceptionally well equipped and ideally situated

Our hosts had generously provided milk, tea and coffee. The property was beautiful, warm and comfortable. The kitchen is extremely well stocked and had everything we needed to cook for ourselves over the holiday. All appliances are new and in excellent condition. The property has motion activated lights in the corridor, which are very useful. St. Abbs is a glorious spot. It was exactly as we had hoped.

There was nothing we didn’t like.
