The Town Crier, Tenby

We have stayed at the Town Crier twice last year.on arrival this year, we didn't seem to have a warm welcome, only to be told our rooms were still be cleaned, which was no problem for us as we only wanted to leave our cases and come back for 3pm check in. The chap we saw said if we paid an additional £10 we could have early check in , it was now nearly 12pm and if we wanted a late checkout the following day that would be another £10 ! What is this all about, when making the booking there was no mention of these additional charges, but we didn't want them anyway, but everything seemed to be about money and not welcoming at all.

The property was central, close to everything needed. A wonderful bar and outdoor area. Our room had a balcony which was excellent, it was clean and comfortable.

Due to the balcony, the entire wall was windows / door. Only one of the electric blinds worked therefore, the sun woke us up from 5am!

What a gem of a find. Beautifully presented rooms. Bed linen and mattresses to die for. Soooooo comfortable. Right in the midst of things. Wonderful bathrooms. The Sunday roast looked incredibly popular. Sadly we had other plans. And a separate entrance was really handy.

We loved this hotel, our room was beautifully decorated, the food was fantastic, the beer was cold & the staff were terrific.

Location was central. The noise in the street was terrible up until 04:00 in the morning. Glasses smashing, shouting and sounded like fighting.

The noise. The food was terrible. Shortened menu because of the bank holiday. £28 for lemon sole which was 4” by 2” served on capers and some veg. Very very salty.

Lovely clean and comfortable rooms, great location.

Great location just for 1 or 2 nights stay.

Check was not the best, no real information was shared for restaurant or facilities available to us.
